Your choice of pottery is a vital component to the success
of your Bonsai. Using an improper pot could actually harm or even
destroy your work. Authentic bonsai pottery is NOT glazed on the inner surfaces.
It also has plenty of drainage holes and a slightly concave interior which
serves to direct all excess water out of the pot. Another important feature
in bonsai pottery is the feet on the bottom which keeps the
pot raised up and out of possible standing water.
We offer both Japanese and Chinese styles of pottery. While both are of fine quality ,
Japanese pots are traditionally more 'perfect' in design and workmanship.
